Epidemiology is the study of distribution (patterns), causes, and effects of health and related outcomes across populations. Epidemiology involves observational studies (see https://www.ars.usda.gov/northeast-area/beltsville-md/beltsville-human-nutrition-research-center/food-surveys-research-group/docs/wweia-data-briefs/for some nutrition examples), but also includes prevention and intervention work (see National School Meals Programs, WIC, etc). One day, you will be practicing nutrition and/or health promotion in the field.Discuss how epidemiological evidence will support your practice.Describe at least three existing epidemiological resources that you could foresee using in your practice.
